We had finally narrowed the field of sixty-four players to the final two. MegaMoose64, fresh off his sudden death victory over GamerGirlLovesU, faced off against KidColt45 for the first plaze prize of $30,000 and Shacknews immortality. TheBeardedChump and GamerGirlLovesU also faced off in Quake 1v1 to determine our third place winner. Our host, Blake "Electronic" Morse, was joined by myself and our very special guest Fatal1ty for the commetary of this historic moment. Shacknews started as a Quake fan site in 1996 and we had come full circle at our E3 2018 booth. This was a huge moment for our competitors and our community as we crowed our first-ever Shacknews World Champion. We are proud of everyone who competed at the Shacknews Battle Arena at this year's E3, and extremely happy to see our Shacknews World Champion take home $30,000 and my briefcase. Please take a look.

Thanks to everyone for the support at E3 2018. It was truly an honor to sit alongside the electronic sports legend Fatal1ty at the inaugural Shacknews World Championship. Keep it locked on Shacknews as we will be announcing our next electronic sports tournament very soon.
