During PAX West 2018, gamers and media will get their first chance to go hands-on in a public showing with Valve's new upcoming title. Artifact, a digital card game, is designed by Richard Garfield, who created Magic: The Gathering. The release date for the game is November 28, 2018, but, it surprisingly carries a $20 price tag. The game will be entering a genre where Hearthstone, Elder Scrolls Legends, and other digital card games rule with free-to-play models.

PAX West 2018 attendees will be able to participate in a single-elimination gauntlet and attempt to reach the championship match on the main stage. There will also be opportunities to earn Artifact merchandise, including signed prints of artwork and keys for free copies of the game when it launches.

Artifact is slated to offer over 280 cards at launch and players will be able to buy and sell using the Steam Community Marketplace. Stay tuned to Shacknews for additional updates and hands-on impression from PAX West 2018.
