Grand Theft Auto 5 Tops June PSN Downloads, H1Z1 Beats Out Fortnite

The usual suspects hold it down on the PlayStation 4 digital charts.

If you take a look at our 2018 video game release schedule, you'll see that PS4 experienced the launch of many quality lower profile games like Onrush and VampyrThe Crew 2 is the highest profile of the bunch, but experienced average reviews and this has allowed Rockstars marathon fighter to take the throne once again as Grand Theft Auto 5 topped the PSN download charts for the month of June.

Sony revealed June's numbers today via the PlayStation Blog and GTA V was followed by FIFA 18, God of War, The Last of Us Remastered, and Detroit: Become Human in the top five. On the PSVR side, Job Simulator continues to rule with Superhot VR, Driveclub VR, Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality, and DOOM VFR keeping it company. Moss, one of the best VR releases of the year, landed in the tenth slot.

The chart for free-to-play games on the platform is dominated by H1Z1: Battle Royale and Fortnite Battle Royale at #1 and #2. Paladins from Hi-Rez Studios has its own battle royale mode now and is holding down the fifth spot.
