It's Toad's turn in the spotlight once more.

Toad is out hunting for treasure and gems, and he needs your help! That's why you should jump on the new Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS demo for Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, available now.

Unfortunately, this isn't the sequel we've all been clamoring for, but it's a new version of the game now available for both of Nintendo's excellent systems, with over 70 levels and new stages themed after Super Mario Odyssey this time around. The Switch version will also include two-player co-op, just in case you want to go tracking treasure with a buddy.

Captain Toad needs you to help guide him along through moving platforms, active volcanos, and other dangerous setpieces as you work to collect gems and stars with him. There are various puzzles to solve as you twist your way through various camera angles and find safe passageways for Toad, who can't jump or defend himself like the rest of his Mario series brethren.

If you like what you see, the Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker ports come out in full on July 13. Make sure you don't miss the game a second time, especially with all those new levels added to the fold. I've already finished the Wii U gem, but I admit the siren song of Odyssey content is attracting me, nevertheless.
