E3 2018: Square Enix's The Quiet Man Shows Off Bouncer-Like Melee Combat

Silence is golden.

Today, during its E3 2018 presentation, Square Enix announced a new title called The Quiet Man. From the brief trailer streamed during the conference, The Quiet Man opens with some excellent-looking footage that nearly looked real, as it showed off a protagonist who appears to motion that he can't hear before unleashing a can of whoop-ass on some unsuspecting thugs. It looks as though he may possibly be deaf, but we're not sure if that's indeed the case just yet.

Unfortunately, aside from a very brief trailer, we didn't get much information about Square Enix's upcoming "immersive, story-driven cinematic action experience." Interestingly enough, however, Square Enix has stated that the game can indeed be played in one sitting. It will blend "high-production live-action, realistic CG, and pulse-pounding action gameplay."

The game will be making its way to both PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam when it makes its debut. We should be hearing more about the title as the weeks roll on, but it looks like that's all Square Enix had to show off for the game during the company's half-hour conference today.
