E3 2018: Gears of War 5 Announced with Frontwoman Kait Diaz

The fifth entry in the series has finally been confirmed.

During today's conference, Microsoft finally announced a game many of us have been waiting for: Gears of War 5. The newest numbered entry in the long-running shooter series will feature its first female lead in the form of Kait Diaz, and she'll be taking her squad on something of a personal mission, with familiar characters in tow. 

Two other Gears-related titles were announced during the show in the form of Gears Pop and Gears Tactics, which are both spin-offs coming to iOS and Android (Pop) and PC (Tactics).
