E3 2018 is very nearly upon us. The showroom floor at the Los Angeles Convention Center is soon to be packed with players, press, presenters, and more, all engaging in a chaotic whirlwind of game reveals and behind-the-scenes surprises. However, the fun doesn't have to stop as soon as fans leave the convention center — there are a number of afternoon, evening, and nighttime parties and concerts that on-site attendees can also forward to, and we've got details regarding some of the most interesting-looking events featured below.


E3 2018 After Parties, Concerts, and Other Events

8bitLA Presents Hack the Multiverse
The 8bitLA Hack the Multiverse event should serve as a rad afterparty for E3 attendees, featuring live music from hot chiptune artists, dancing, and more. It'll be held at Los Globos on Tuesday, June 12 at 6:30 p.m., and tickets are $15 or $10 for E3 badge holders, and they can be purchased over at Ticketfly.


The Big Indie Pitch in LA 2018
The Big Indie Pitch returns in the latest 2018 event sponsored by indieSky. The festivities will be held on Wednesday, June 13, between 5 and 11 p.m. at the Shoo Shoo, Baby 1940s-era bar. Developers who want to submit their games to the event can do so over at the Big Indie Pitch website, and attendees can register for free over at Eventbrite.


E3: Mentors and Mojitos
Not only will the Canadian Gaming Expo will be on-scene in Los Angeles during E3 2018, they'll also be hosting a small, brief event where indie developers will have a chance to speak with experts in various fields of game development. Mentors and Mojitos is set to take place at Don Chente on June 13 from noon to 2 p.m., and potential attendees can find free registration over at Meetup.


Eorzean Symphony Final Fantasy XIV Orchestra
These Final Fantasy XIV inspired orchestral concerts are set to give fans of the series' music a memorable show, with footage of the game synced to a live performance by a 100-piece orchestra and choir. The concerts will be held in the Dolby Theater at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 15 as well as Saturday, June 16. Tickets are still available over at Ticketmaster, with prices ranging from $59 all the way up to $134.


Fortnite at E3 Celebrity Pro-Am
Epic Games is set to host a major event with this year's Celebrity Pro-Am, where entertainments and athletes alike will gather and mix with the top Fortnite players from around the world. The event will be held at E3 on June 12 at 3:30 p.m., and tickets can be had for $10 over on the Epic Games website.


Fortnite Party Royale
As a special sort of thank you for the game's supporters, the crew at Epic Games will be hosting a special invite-only event they're calling the Party Royale. Details are sparts, but we know it's set to take place on the evening of Tuesday, June 12. Otherwise, Epic invites E3 attendees to check out the Fortnite booth #2723.


Indie Heaven at IndiE3
Hosted by Good Shepherd Entertainment and partners, Indie Heaven is a three-day event where gamers and game developers can get together for food, fun, merrymaking, and maybe even a bit of revelry. The Shacknews crew itself will also be on scene, broadcasting our own livestream straight from the venue. Entry is between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. June 12 through 14 at Don Chente in Los Angeles. It will be open to all E3 attendees over the age of 21, with consideration to the capacity of the venue.


Into the Abyss
Pearl Abyss, the developers of Black Desert Online, will be hosting a special event titled Into the Abyss where fans can participate in the first ever meet and greet with the Pearl Abyss crew. The event will be held Wednesday, June 13 between 6 and 9 p.m. at the Regal Cinema, and promises a night full of food, entertainment, sneak peaks, and surprises. Interested attendees can register for free at Eventbrite.


Keita Takashi's Never Ever Quest Opening Reception
Keita Takahashi, creator of eccentric games like Noby Noby Boy and Katamari Damacy, will be heading to the iam8bit gallery at 2147 W. Sunset Blvd. to unveil Never Ever Quest, "an RPG adventure in the form of an art show." The event will be hosted between 8 and 11 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, and fans can RSVP over at Eventbrite.


Kingdom Hearts Orchestra World Tour Encore
Music fans will be delighted to hear that the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra World Tour Encore will take place on Saturday, June 9 at 8 p.m. in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Praise for the orchestral performance has been considerable, and series fans still have a chance to pick up tickets through the Music Center website.


PlayStation's E3 LGBTQ Party
The PlayStation team has gotten together with the LA Gayming Society to host the first-annual E3 LGBTQ Party. The event will be held between 7 and 11 p.m. at Precinct DTLA. Admittance is free, and all donations will be accepted for the Los Angeles LGBTQ Center's program for youth gaming. More information can be found over on Facebook.


Xbox FanFest 2018
Set to kick off June 9 and 10 at The Microsoft Theater, Xbox FanFest 2018 gives attendees a firsthand look at the Xbox E3 briefing, plus offers the chance to meet with a number of developers and industry leaders. Entry is only for those 21 or older, and ticket prices have been set at $45 a head, though it does seem like the pre-registration window has been closed.
