Warner Bros snuck in livestream today for Hitman 2, confirming the existence of the new game and sharing some gameplay feature details. The previous release adopted an episodic release style with bonus live content that was well received and resulted in one of the most entertaining entries in the franchise's history. While the new Hitman is a direct sequel to the previous game, the developers are not releasing in episodes this time around. Hitman 2 will be available on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on November 13, 2018.

The previous Hitman was developed by IO Interactive and published by Square Enix. A buyout gave IO Interactive full rights to the Hitman series and Hitman 2 is being published by WB Games this time around.

During the stream, Miami is highlighted as one of the new operation zones in Hitman 2. A race, which is teased in the trailer above, offers an opportunity to take down a target in many creative ways. The Steam page is also live and here's the story breakdown found there:

"Travel the globe and track your targets across exotic sandbox locations in HITMAN 2. From sun-drenched streets to dark and dangerous rainforests, nowhere is safe from the world's most creative assassin, Agent 47.

Prepare to experience the ultimate spy thriller story; your mission is to eliminate the elusive Shadow Client and unravel his militia, but when 47 learns his target's true identity and the truth about his past, it changes everything.

HITMAN 2 introduces new ways to play, new game modes and new features, including the new Sniper Assassin mode with franchise first co-op play."

If you pre-order Hitman 2, you get access to a new sniper assassin co-op mode right now. Stay tuned to Shacknews for more updates and be sure to check out our E3 2018 landing page for all the up-to-date- reveals!
