Shack's Arcade Corner: Golden Tee Golf

Greg Burke finally takes a look at the most influential golf arcade game of all time.

This week on Shack's Arcade Corner, we take a look at Golden Tee Golf. It was a golf arcade game released in 1989. Golden Tee Golf was developed by Incredible Technologies and originally started out as a golf simulator. After scrapping the simulator idea, the game released as a conversion kit. Golden Tee Golf featured an iconic trackball for user input. It wasn't my favorite game, but it certainly deserves to be recognized for its arcade dominance throughout the years.

Golden Tee Golf was so much fun. I had 3 friends at work and we would go play golden tee during lunch hour at a nearby bowling alley in Waltham, MA. We had a blast. I think each of us had gotten a hole in one at least once in our careers.
