The Magic Leap One Creator Edition was revealed in December, shooting the AR headset off into the hands of developers. We're about due a major update on the augmented reality gear and Magic Leap is hosting a live stream to reveal some news in the return of the company's monthly livestream Magic Leap Live. We've got the breakdown of news updates revealed during the stream below.

The first news update involves Abductor, a new sample project the company revealed. It shows how to turn meshing on along with other lessons. It's currently available in the Magic Leap creator portal.

The first tutorial has also been released, the first of which also focuses on the mesh creation process. The second is for simulating input with ML remote and its mapping features. These are also available on the creator portal.

The final bit of news tackled in Magic Leap Live revealed that an upcoming SDK release of 0.1.5.0 will feature an updated gesture API, meshing updates, performance improvements, ML remote improvements, and the ability to update rendering independently of the SDK. The gesture API will initially be for Unity with Unreal to follow at a later date.

During the stream, a Magic Leap hologram demo project by Sadao Tokuyama was shown. You can find that video below.

In the special feature segment for the Magic Leap Live monthly stream, we learned what's in the box when you purchase Magic Leap. We also learned that Magic Leap World is the official name for the ML app store.
