PUBG Corp Temporarily Turns Off Personal Item Trading Due To Marketplace Abuse

Just stop trying to break things, people.

Do you tend to utilize the "personal trade" feature in PUBG very often? If so, you may be frustrated to find that it has been temporarily disabled. PUBG Corp. took to its official blog to make the announcement, which spelled it out as such:

"We're going to temporarily turn off access to "personal trades" for all PUBG items." It's pretty black and white, but what brought this about? PUBG has noted recently that some players have been misusing the personal trade function as a way to sell things via third-party websites. This seems like a spammy and strange exercise since there are about a million ways to peddle your weird wares elsewhere outside of PUBG, but that's people for you.

"This is essentially an abuse of the system," PUBG Corp. announced. "To prevent this, we're temporarily turning off personal trades while we search for a better solution. Once we figure out a way to prevent abuse, the restriction will be lifted."

Right now, there is no set date for when the restriction will be removed, so you can thank players who don't know how to behave once again for ruining things for everyone else. Hopefully it wasn't something you liked using very much. We'll let you know when something changes.
