Monster Hunter World has established itself as one of the best in the series by becoming Capcom’s best-selling game ever and players continue to take on the many quests and monsters with regular updates. World events were revealed just yesterday and we’ve got more information on one of the limited events and a new creature: Elder Dragon Kulve Taroth.
The Siege of Kulve Taroth is the new limited time event players will be rushing to complete, as reported on Capcom-Unity, and there’s a new trailer showing a bit of what they can get into.
As seen above, Sieges are a new quest type that requires teamwork for up to 16 hunters. The parties will divide into groups of up to four but their collective efforts are needed to investigate and hunt the Elder Dragon down.
Progress is tracked across the entire hunting party and there are some cool rewards to be found. Kulve Taroth’s mantle of gold is made of weapon relics. No specifics on where and what is revealed (Shacknews will be working on a guide to add to our robust collection for Monster Hunter World) but the Smithy will also be working on an armor set to go along with these new weapons. You’ll need to collect Kulve Taroth materials to get the new armor.
The new Siege will start tomorrow, April 18, 2018, at 5 pm PT and will run for a limited time. Don't forget to check out the schedule of Monster Hunter World events for April and May.
