New MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries Gameplay Trailer Showcases Biome Update

The hype train for the latest installment from this iconic series is about to leave the station. All aboard!


MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is the first installment from the iconic series to hit PCs in the last fifteen years. The game will feature PvE combat and a career-based Mercenary campaign driven by player choice. The devs at Piranha Games just dropped a new trailer that focuses on their latest build update.

This trailer showcases new updates to some of the biomes that will be playable at launch. Check out the video to see more about the different weather elements and terrain you will have to navigate when MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries releases later this year.

      Very Nice. Is it going to be SP only? or will they have MP with hopefully different modes.

        I'm guessing there will be no VS MP in this game... because that is basically MechWarrior Online. It's the same people who make that game... so it would be weird to make a second one of those attached to this single player game. But, just a guess.

          I could see it if it was a more involved campaign co-op multi or small 4v4s

          I agree.. I wonder if they're going to try some weird way to connect the two games though. Like at least make a Pirhana launcher that has both games (cause we all want another battle net steam origin ea launcher) or even some kind of link to MWO on the main screen of MW5.

          It's so weird that they're doing the game on a different engine and don’t seem to be planning to move MWO to UE or anything.

            It would be funny if you clicked a "Multiplayer" button and it opened up MWO. Hah.

        Co-op multiplayer:

        It makes sense that they wouldn't want to cannibalize MW:O's player base but it would be nice to have a different style of PvP in MW5.
