Two Million Copies In Three Days. Mario's Odyssey Sells Super Fast

Super Mario Odyssey is moving into consumers homes with Star Power enhanced speed.

A quick look at the Amazon gaming sales for 2017 before Super Mario Odyssey even launched gave a glimpse at the game's potential future. Fairly quickly post-launch, we can already see that potential being realized as Super Mario Odyssey has sold two million copies in three days.

The sales figures come via a Eurogamer report and include bundles, digital sales, and physical individual copies. The excitement is warranted, considering we're talking about one of gaming's legends, but what of the reviews? Ours is still in the works, but Super Mario Odyssey is holding at a 97% on Metacritic. That score solidifies it as the highest rating game on all consoles on Metacritic, for now, which is a full four points ahead of Divinity: Original Sin 2 in the number two spot.
