Shadow of the Colossus Remaster Towers Over Us All In Early 2018

We will all stand in awe once again next February.

E3 was home to the surprise announcement of a full remaster of the legendary Shadow of the Colossus and today, during the Paris Games Week PlayStation media showcase, we've come another step closer to its release. A new trailer showing off the colossus slaying in all of its visually impressive splendor comes with the news that Shadow of the Colossus will launch on February 6, 2018.

Shadow of the Colossus was of the highest tier of games on PlayStation 2, providing players with one of the most visually appealing adventure-puzzler experiences that generation. It exuded style through a very minimalist design in its open-world and it's going to be pretty exciting to return to that world with updated visuals.

The scale of Shadow of the Colossus has been glimpsed in other games since its release, but nothing so majestic from open to close. The indie experience Praey for the Gods may be the closest we come, but we'll have the original king in our hands in early 2018.

Never understood how that bridge wouldn't collapse under it's own weight.

It looks like they’re still using the textures from the ps2 version.

Funny thing,I never could finish the original game on PS2 because it made me physically nauseous. In a rare case of good will, I was able to take the game back to Gamestop the same day I bought it,completely opened and played, and they gave me a full refund.
