Star Wars Battlefront 2 has recently been in the news cycle for the wrong reasons. A growing conversation about loot boxes put Battlefront 2 under the spotlight with some harsh criticisms that EA ended up having to respond to. We won't really know if EA's approach to loot boxes will pay off but, there's some good news for those excited about the game's launch. Sony has revealed some custom limited PS4 and PS4 Pros that include Star Wars insignias and a physical copy of the game.
Two limited edition consoles were revealed on the PS4 blog: A PS4 Pro and 1TB PS4 with Galactic Empire and Resistance emblems and a matching controller. The center of the consoles also seems to include the logo for the Empire's special forces unit that you'll follow in the game's single-player campaign, a unit led by Iden Versio. Both also come with the deluxe edition of Star Wars Battlefront 2 which includes upgraded versions of the four basic classes, an elite hero, and epic Star Cards. There will also be a range of consoles without the emblems and custom controller but come with a standard edition of the game.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 arrives on PS4, Xbox One, and PC November 17. It includes an overhauled multiplayer experience with the massive Galactic Assault and Starfighter Assault game modes and a new single-player campaign that follows an elite black ops Empire squad.
