Life is Strange developer Dontnod Entertainment published a video confirming a new season of the game as well as sales numbers of the original (via Eurogamer).

If this news makes you happy, nod. Or, wait, don't.

In the video, Life is Strange creative directors and the game's producer shared the sales figures and announced that a new game has been in development since the original launched on disc in early 2016. "So, what we can share today is the fact that we've been working, since the release of the box version last year, on a new Life is Strange game, with the Life is Strange team," the devs say.

The Life is Strange sequel won't necessarily carry a "2" after the title: many fans are of the opinion that the first game's story concluded satisfactorily, leaving Dontnod free to explore other characters and settings.
