I hope that game is good, but I don't get the impression that there's a lot of actual game in there at the moment. Discovering stuff and downloading to beacons sounds a little light. I also wonder just how much variation between planets there really is.

      Good, that does mean I don't need a PS4.

Until the FF7 remake is out.

I was going to try to sell my PS4 this weekend and then realized I want it for Uncharted 4. That's like the only reason I have it too :(

This is good news. I'm glad the PC is really coming out on top against this new generation of consoles. It's getting the best games from both consoles, the games are generally cheaper and multiplayer isn't locked behind a paywall.

PC is going strong, but coming out on top is kind of an exaggeration when both consoles have sold very well, and there are still some AAA exclusives that you are basically certain not to see on PC. Such as Naughty Dog games.

It seems it's a winning time for gamers in general, and that's great. This E3 was really enjoyable with this generation of consoles really starting to get it's feet under it.

Considering we may be on to the ps5 by the time it gets released, its probably not a loss for the ps4.

I don't see the connection, aside from it being huge and procedural.

This is more like those survival games, except you're alone, and it takes place in a massive galaxy full of planets and stars and other shit.

My enthusiasm for that game has waned a bit. I really want it to be a lot about exploration and less about the pew pew. The Sony E3 demo had a ton of pew pew.

I watched the E3 demo and the one he shot looked like a spaceship. But it was weird because it shot it with a hand held gun, lol.

It sure seems like they want to let you play it how you like. You could easily be a peaceful dude that just explores and run away from all combat.

It looked like he got attacked on the planet because he was destroying stuff, and the space battle he specifically mentioned getting involved in only if you want.

everything I've read about the game describes how sparse the universe will actually be. there will not be pew pew on every planet, and every planet will not have interesting things to see. it is conceivable that you could go to a dozen or more planets in a row, or a few solar systems, and never see anything of interest. things get busier the closer you get to the center of the galaxy, and you can choose whether or not you want the pew pews

i'm more interested because it looks like there's something more to do than look at and "explore" randomly generated planet #122354656435324242423
