Wii U Pro Controller revealed
by Andrew Yoon, Jun 03, 2012 3:25pm PDTWith multiplatform games slated to hit Wii U, some gamers will opt not to use Nintendo's unique touch screen table controller. For those gamers, Nintendo is offering an alternate controller option. The Wii U Pro Controller will look familiar to anyone that's held a PS3 or Xbox 360 controller.
This peripheral does away with the touch screen and includes two analog sticks, shoulder buttons, and face buttons in a configuration that should make for easy translation for existing Xbox 360 and PS3 games. Given the Wii U GamePad now includes support for L3 and R3, it's likely the Wii U Pro Controller will also include that functionality. The only real question left is--will gamers be able to accommodate the odd swapped placement of the right analog stick and face buttons?
