Raven's Cry delayed into May 2014

When Raven's Cry publisher TopWare announced that it had taken development away from Octane Games and over to Reality Pump, it optimistically planned to launch the game by the end of this year. Three months later, it's pushed the game back a fair bit, announcing a release date of May 7, 2014.

Two Worlds creator takes over Raven's Cry development

Action-RPG Raven's Cry was to offer a grim, gritty, visceral, and so on take on pirates and their pirating ways, but development clearly went awry as it blew past its planned "late 2012" launch. Publisher TopWare today announced the game did indeed go wonky, but it's been handed to Two Worlds creator Reality Pump Studios who is now on track to launch at the end of 2013.

Raven's Cry trailer shows genuine piracy

You and I know pirates to be cheery drunkards who plunder cursed booty and battle sea monsters. Yet, TopWare claims, this is fiction. Promising to "challenge the image of pirates in popular culture," it's released the first gameplay trailer for Raven's Cry.
