The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine is full of all kinds of new armor and weapons to find, craft, and use. Some of the most exciting new additions are the new Grandmaster sets of Geralt’s Witcher Gear, which are some of the spiffiest looking outfits he’s had available since the base game came out. If you enjoyed sporting one of the original sets of Witcher Gear, this guide will help you find the Grandmaster Feline Gear by completing the appropriate Scavenger Hunt quest.
The Grandmaster Feline Gear set is a light armor set that rewards Geralt with increased Armor and Stamina regeneration. It also yields some additional bonus stats for the player when certain amounts of the armor are worn.
When 3 out of 6 pieces are equipped players’ Strong Attacks will increase all Fast Attack damage by 10% for each unit of the gear worn. This bonus lasts for 5 seconds.
When all 6 pieces of the set are worn, all attacks from the rear deal 50% more damage and will cause the opponent to be stunned.
Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Feline Armor
The first step thing you’ll need to do is follow your waypoint to an estate just east of the Arthach Palace Ruins. This place is overrun by bandits, so make sure you bring plenty of potions to keep Geralt’s Health and Stamina Points high at all times. Sadly, the front doors are locked, bandit strongholds and all, so you’ll need to make your way around the estate until you spot a broken area on the wall, where you can climb up some scaffolding to get inside.
Drop into the courtyard and deal with the bandits to clear the area. Chat with the merchant to get permission to search the estate, and then turn around and look for a white door, which leads inside the estate.
Once inside the door, take a left, and look for a painting just past the next doorway. Loot the painting to acquire the Grandmaster Feline Armor diagram. Now it’s time to get the other five pieces.
Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Feline Trousers and Boots
From the estate, head north to the Arthach Palace Ruins, where you’ll meet the Hansa bandits. These guys are a rough bunch, so make sure to meditate to refill your potions and stat points. Take out all the Hansa that get in your way, and make your way to the top of the ruins to take down the leader of the bandit group.
Once they are all cleared out, it’s time to find your next two pieces of gear. Look for the huge signal fire that was most likely lit during your fight with the Hansa, and then spot the chest just ahead of it. Loot the chest to acquire the Grandmaster Feline Trousers and Grandmaster Feline Boots diagrams.
Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Feline Gauntlets, Steel Sword, and Silver Sword
Time to acquire the remaining pieces of your new gear. This final grouping of diagrams can be found by following your waypoint to a cave known as the Pits of Brume. Head south of the palace ruins, and make sure you’re ready to take on a group of Archespores along the way. They’re nasty little buggers, so be prepared with antidotes and health potions.
Defeat all the poisonous enemies, and then make your way down the right-hand wall to a narrow path that leads to a ledge above you. Loot the nearby contained to grab the last journal entry for this quest, and obtain the final three diagrams of the Grandmaster Feline Gear.
Now head back to the Grandmaster Armorer to get the gear crafted, and ready for wear. Looking for more new items in Blood and Wine? Find out how to get the Grandmaster Wolven Gear set, and how to dye your armor.
