[Update: It appears EA has released the same teaser trailer that was released back in 2013, but just teases the upcoming Star Wars Celebration event.]

Original story:

Star Wars: Battlefront is expected to make its big debut next month during the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California. But today, EA and DICE have released a teaser that takes place during the Battle of Hoth and shows off possible vehicles that could be piloted in the game.

The video is shot in a first-person perspective on the planet of Hoth, which as you’d expect, is filled with ice and snow. Not only that, but there’s a large amount of debris on the ground, which gets even more debris as a Snowspeeder comes crashing down onto the battlefield. Suddenly, an AT-AT Walker’s leg can be seen coming down close to where the Snowspeeder has crashed.

The Battle of Hoth has been recreated in a number of video games over the years, which first started with the Atari 2600 version of The Empire Strikes Back. Since then, we’ve battled through Hoth more times than we can count as games like Super Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars: Shadow of the Empire, and Star Wars: Rogue Squadron all featured scenes from this iconic battle.

Even though we’ve played this scene a number of times, we can’t help but think a new Battlefront game wouldn’t feel quite right if it didn’t feature the Battle of Hoth, so long as EA and DICE can make it look really, really pretty.
