Further reinforcing the connection between Santa and Satan, Tripwire Interactive has announced that its co-op horror survival shooter Killing Floor will play host to a whole selection box of ghoulish festivities this winter holiday season.

A new map, Santa's Evil Lair, will overflow with special yuletide versions of Killing Floor's genetic monstrosities, from gingerbread men and elves to Jack Frost and Big S himself. There'll also be also new achievements and an unlockable 'Baddest Santa' player skin.

On top of all that, players who also own Team Fortress 2 will be able to play as the Pyro in Killing Floor and score a 'Mr Fosters Gasmask and Tie' item to wear back in TF2.

The Twisted Christmas event will kick off on December 14, running until January 4.

I really like this game. The weapons feel great and the default game mode is a lot of fun. I especially like how you have to keep moving around the map to get to different shops. While you can barricade yourself into an advantageous spot, you'll eventually need to brave the unsafe terrain to have enough time to go shopping.

The light RPG elements are organized a little weird (except for the medic), but I still enjoy them.

The first thing I noticed about this game when I played was how great the weapons mechanics were, all the animations the feel of shooting/reloading, top notch.

Exactly my thought when I first played this game on weekend steam free-to-play event. The overall feeling of the weapons are excellent.

Also your "safe spot" only lasts for so long do to all the different creature types. You will have to keep moving and adapting to defend yourself or you WILL die.
