Capcom is set to bring out another double-year version of its MotoGP series, following up on MotoGP 09/10. This version will once again be developed by Monumental Games and will be released in March 2011 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

"MotoGP 10/11 will deliver all the content from the 2010 MotoGP season and offer downloadable updates for the 2011 MotoGP championship shortly after the season starts," explains Capcom's press release.

The game will add splitscreen co-op play in the game's career mode, an "all new handling system and improved physics," and a "brand new customizable player assist feature allows fans of both simulation and arcade racing to recognize their racing style and preferences on the track." As with last year's game, it will support online multiplayer for 20 racers.

Now, I'm generally not annoyed by annual releases of games like this. I accept them as a staple of the games industry, but when you release a game each year that is intended to cover two years of content... well, I start scratching my head.
