The fifth and final Diablo 3 class has been revealed at BlizzCon 2010 to be the Demon Hunter, a dark and mysterious ranged specialist who wields two crossbows.

The Demon Hunter boasts skills including 'Fan of Knives,' 'Molten Arrow,' 'Grenade,' 'Bola' and 'Entangling Shot'--seemingly a good mix of area-of-effect damage and crowd control. Brian's off to play with the class and will report back with his findings, if he can tear himself away from playing.

The announcement is accompanied by screenshots, a trailer and concept art.

There are also mini videos showing her skills. First, Fan of Knives:

Grenade:

Molten Arrow:

Entangling shot:

Bola:

Unfortunately, Blizzard has not used BlizzCon to give any idea of when Diablo 3 might be released. Sorry, everyone. The wait continues.

There were crossbows and throwable explosives in Diablo long before Torchlight. Claiming Diablo is ripping off another action rpg in the first place is pretty funny.

Did i say anything about crossbows? I was talking about modern weaponry, which Torchlight DID implement before the Diablo series.

Whether or not to include guns has been a running debate in Diablo 3 for quite some time now.

Where did anyone say anything about guns besides you in relation to Diablo 3? I figured you just made a mistake instead of saying crossbow since there has been no talk of guns anywhere, a logical assumption when talking about someone claiming a recent action rpg is ripping off Diablo lol

The above video. Think you can navigate yourself there? Go to 3 minutes, 20 seconds. If that doesn't look like the grip of a pistol, you've never watched a western.

It's a crossbow. Jesus. They use grips too. You know... to hold onto.

They're all stealing from Gauntlet, so let's just kill all the classes off and start over. I propose giant termites.

Diablo is totally ripping off torchlight! How can they get away with that.

I saw what one of the developers called a "pistol crossbow" (a one-handed crossbow) but I didn't see any guns.

This. A gun would use gunpowder and probably shoot bullets.
Futhermore, those are not grenades, they are explosives, grenades kill things with shrapnel, the things she used just plain blew up. (Diablo 2 had this, by the way).

And I'm saying the explosives in the video are not.

Clearly, you've never played a Blizzard game before. They love to put guns, grenades, modern weapons into their fantasy games. Hell, they put in aliens, space ships, and lasers into World of Warcraft, so honestly a few guns and grenades are just small potatoes now.

Metzen's never met a sci-fi idea he wasn't working incredibly hard to rip off and shove into Warcraft lore before he was halfway done reading about it.
