Fable 3 Delayed on PC

The PC edition of Lionhead's RPG sequel Fable 3 will no longer launch alongside the Xbox 360 version as it's been delayed for an unspecified length of time, IGN reports.

"The console and PC versions are now on different schedules as we're focusing on building experiences optimized for each platform," publisher Microsoft explained. "We aren't announcing a ship date for the PC sku at this time, but expect news soon."

When confirmed in late May, the PC edition of Fable 3 was scheduled to release simultaneously with the Xbox 360 version on October 26. While the Xbox 360 launch is still going ahead as planned, PC gamers are left hanging for now.

Why did I feel like this was to be expected?

I did expect it but I was expecting it a week before launch. So my guess is it will be an early 2011 title.

They will reveal the delay is to optimize the PC version and try to throw in Fable 2 as a surprise.

If your Fable 2 theory turns out to be true, that would be about the only instance where a delay in these circumstances is justified.

Same here. That way anyone excited about it would not be able to wait and get it for console instead.

And then they can blame poor PC sales later.

they got to hit there sales on consoles first before they release it on PC since it wont even sell that good because its going to get warez. It's becoming like this every time a console and PC game comes out. Oh its delayed because we want to work on it some more. no you want to get your sales first on console because the release on PC wont be has good. and these company's call themselves gamers...

oh and i wish they will just come out and say it for once that the delayed is not to make the PC version better. Because it's not.
