Shack PSA: Weekend Deals on ARMA 2, THQ Titles, 'Buy 2, Get 1 Free' Console Games and More

11
The fine weekly tradition of bumper video game discounts at the weekend continues nicely this week, with retailers and digital distributors lining up to lighten your wallet.

Best Buy is running a 'buy 2, get 1 free' offer on all Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii games from Saturday until next Friday, making a splurge on such splendid recent titles as Brutal Legend, Uncharted 2, Demon's Souls and Borderlands very tempting indeed.

Bohemia's battlefield simulator ARMA 2 is available half-price for $25 from Steam and GamersGate. Give the demo a whirl if you're still not convinced.

GamersGate also offers a grand 50% discount on THQ's catalogue, including all Company of Heroes, Titan Quest, Red Faction and original Dawn of War titles.

Should you be won over by survival shooter Killing Floor's co-op charms during its current free weekend, a 25% discount on Steam brings it to a most affordable $15.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for $29--a 25% discount--at Impulse might not sound too exciting but offers on the shooter are few and far between. You can also pick up space asshole simulator Red Faction: Guerrilla at half-price for $20 here too.

Lastly, PopCap's lawn defense Plants vs. Zombies is a mere $7 at PCGameStore.

It's always only been $10 on steam, but its $20 everywhere retail. This was a really fun casual game with a lot of minigames. Definitely worth the price of admission.
