Mirror's Edge PS3 Demo Tomorrow, Xbox 360 Demo On Friday

Originally expected November 6, a playable demo of DICE's Mirror's Edge will be released this week instead. The PlayStation Store will have the demo tomorrow, and the Xbox Live Marketplace will have it up on Friday.

The demo will include a tutorial and part of the single-player story mode, and those who have pre-ordered the game will be able to use a code to unlock a Time Trial mode.

Mirror's Edge ships for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 November 11, with a PC release following later this winter.

I bet it's very hard to get out the PC demo at the same time.

They'll release the PC demo later, so it doesn't get pirated, I presume.

Yeah, it's a good enough reason to protect a demo from pirating.

PC demo executables have often been a good avenue for pirates to use to crack their retail counterparts.

Doesn't matter. They need like half a day for it. If the PC demo gets released before they sell the game, it will happen. If they release it when the game is in stores, it will happen.

Doesn't matter at all and is no reason for a delay of the pc demo

This game would be lucky if someone pirated it.

It'll almost certainly take longer to test given all the different hardware configurations, OS and drivers versions.

I'd be VERY surprised if this would be the real reason why there isn't a demo at the same time.

I wager it's because the PC version isn't the priority (or so I assume, given its nebulous release date), so why bother worry about demoing it to the people who can't even buy it for likely several more months?

I'm expecting to hear about a post-release PC demo.
