11
As the retail version of The Witcher Enhanced Edition (PC) makes its way to stores around the world this week, developer CD Projekt has confirmed to Shacknews that owners of the first Witcher release will be able to upgrade their game for free this Friday.

The patch will bring all of the improvements of the Enhanced Edition to the regular edition of the fantasy RPG, including a retranslated script along with two new adventures, improved loading times, an adventure editor, new animations, a greater variety of NPCs, and other tweaks.

Picking the boxed version up after work today. I'm really looking forward to seeing all the improvements they've made first-hand. Funny thing is, this box has better extra than most of the $70-$80 collector's editions that come out, yet it's only $40. CD Projeckt RED wins my money.

I'm going to have to start doing this or else I'm sure my bosses will have my head for not branding our company well... CD Projekt. Just a k, because we're kooky Eastern Europeans. I shall accept no more such mishaps, Rehevckor. :)

Haha, sorry about that. It's a typing thing... my mind thinks "k" but my hands want to type "c", so I end up with both. I'll try harder sir, I promise! :P

Thank you for being active on these forums Tom. Your input has been invaluable to us waiting for GOG to come online as well as the witcher patch. I know the patch was promised but I wasn't sure wether it would materialize or not. Thank you for making one of the awesomest games ever! I'm really excited to play the enhanced edition.
