FIFA Street 3 Demo On Xbox Live Marketplace

4

A demo for the FIFA Street 3 can now be found on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The 293mb demo for the arcade soccer game allows you to play a 5 minute match between Brazil and England.

FIFA Street 3 retails February 18 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS.

Time-Limited demos are so god damn annoying, and sports games tend to be the biggest offenders. If you're going to give us a demo, give us two teams and let us at least play a full game. 5 minutes is just not enough time to decide whether or not we want to buy your game.

Hockey games are even worse! Download a 400+ MB demo and all you can play is shootout mode. WTF is that?

Just rent the previous one in the series. Look at the graphics of the demo. Now imagine what it would be like if you combined them.

Thank you for pointing out why I stopped buying/playing sports games years ago.

It lets you play a half and you can play as often as you want I don't see the big deal it's plenty long enough to see if you will enjoy the game or not.

Skate's demo was time limited but at least it was long, 20-30 minutes I think (10 of which were tutorials). Plus there was lots of content to give you a good feel of the product. But these 5 minute sport demos are that short on purpose, to force you to try and buy. The time limits are short enough that you get a taste (in some cases), but if you want the complete experience you need to buy. Looking at game spy I see there are currently over 900 people still playing the Halo demo. If you provide too good of a demo there will be a certain subset of gamers who will not buy the game. Would some of those have bought the game instead of just using the demo for their gaming fix? That's hard to say.
