Hasn't this game been out all of a week? Maybe two? And this is already the third patch?

Be happy. Whatever I may think of EA, it's commendable that they're fixing multiplayer issues quickly

... I'll never understand why they went with assspy again for matchmaking after the crappy multiplayer issues in bfme2

This type of shit is unacceptable, but is not surprising since it is an EA game. It is no way shape or form commendable. They are obligated to fix these issues so they don't look like a bunch of a-holes 1 week out from launching the game. More stress and load testing on the server side might have helped with connection issues. As for desyncs, that's the result of sloppy code and piss poor testing.

Am I pissed, Yes! I took C&C back, luckily got store credit and bought SupCom instead. All I wanted to do was play online. FU EA

Same shit happened with COH and a lot of other good games. It's impossible to test for every contingency. We deserve a good game right off the bat, but it doesn't always happen that way.

um, you do realize SupCom has had a lot of issues as well? There was a crash bug and a desync bug and they weren't fixed until several weeks after release. And there are still some exploits they're working on.

Don't you have Star Wars: Empires at War to play?

I do, along with COH, Dark Crusade, and now supreme commander. I was only venting frustration. I was really looking forward to C&C 3 online. It's too bad...

Well they are working on it. They've already put 3 patches out that have fixed it for some people. Yes, they screwed up, but they've been fixing it pretty fast. If you wanted to play it so bad you could wait a little longer than 5 days after release to return it. Like I said SupCom has had a few multiplayer issues as well, but the difference is you bought it over a month after it was released, so several of them have been patched already. No game is bug free.

What place allows returns of PC games?

I could care less about MP. I just want to play singleplayer but the cnc3game.dat crashes are killing it.

No one else seems to be having this problem, so I don't think it is necessarily just the game.

There is an 8 page thread about it on the official forums.

Yeah, this patch was actually released Sunday morning, they worked all weekend. They should've done more testing initially, but at least they're patching fast. You know what's retarded though? People are still complaining about patches not being released fast enough. I guess three patches in one week isn't enough. Sigh.

I'm more (un)surprised that the usual complaint has been that EA never patches their games / the patches suck. Now they they seem to be doing better (BF2142, now this), I'm hearing complaints that there are patches (too many too fast) instead. :D
