HL2 SDK Soon

Word from Valve is that the Half-Life 2 SDK is coming soon to a website near you. The SDK release will be the 'full' one that many modders have been waiting for so we can play headcrab soccer.

Oh, I'd love to see a football mod that gets mainstream. :( Demonic soccer for Q3 was so cool but nobody played it.

theres probably a reason for that really. I would never play a traditional sport oriented mod

yes, but having the opportunity to play the game in first person, with a commander in control, ala Natural Selection sounds like it would be fun.

No, it was actually cool. Demonic was actually a CTF mod ("Demonic CTF") where you could pass the ball to your teammates. It was a lot like BR on UT2kx, only that you couldn't actually grab the ball (only hit it) and it was a bit more anarchic... just like football ("soccer" if you will).

And replying to the question below, yes, I have played deathball and other ball-related mods. Fun, but I really miss demonic ctf.
