So we all know this week definitely belongs to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, but as sites begin to wane in their GTA:SA coverage and put out reviews of the other releases this week, we can start to see that this appears to be a particularly strong week for gaming. IGN heralds Dead or Alive Ultimate as the best fighter on the Xbox. According to GameRankings, GMR Magazine gave a perfect score of 10 out of 10 to Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War. Even Taiko Drum Master is passing muster with a 4.5/5.0 at GameSpy. A little something for everyone, eh?

Xbox DOOM 3 Gets Tentatively Dated Xbox gamers that are still waiting for their port of DOOM 3 and hoping for a winter release can stop holding their breath. In a conference call today, Activision president Ron Doornink said to expect the game by the end of March. However, even then, that's not a solid date as id software has the final say if the game is ready to go or not and they can push it back even further.
PS2 Xbox GCN Batman Begins Game Announced Electronic Arts announced today that they are preparing a game based on the upcoming Batman Begins film. Its release will coincide with that of the film's and will land on nearly all consoles: GameCube, PS2, Xbox, PSP, and the Game Boy Advance. UK company Eurocom will be the developers of the title on the consoles and Vicarious Visions for the portable versions.
