Evening Reading

So my dad is coming to visit me out here in Texas for the first time ever next week. Strangely enough each time I see him it just tends to be in some place other than Texas. Maybe with this visit I can show him what it is Maarten and I do for a living. It's been nearly a decade now so maybe he'll actually believe it. :)

Lastly, it's time to declare SNL has jumped the shark yet again.

I wish that shackmap thing created by OverBurN had a zoom option, so I can see who's close by on a state level.

I'm glad that shackmap thing has no zoom. I don't want people peeking in my windows

That flash one in the other thread is cool, but it'll mess up your tags and what not :(

yeah, zoom is overrated anyways :( look at http://www.overburn.ca/shackmap/index2.php the marker dots are 1px zoom in and its still kinda jumbled

plus i know no way of making the coordinate tags dynamic with the zoom, thats way beyond me

Hey OverBurN, how do we get real names & pictures onto that site?

As a suggestion, maybe you could cut up the image with PS and make smaller tiles of each section? Not sure what your using to lay down your cordinates, but seems like it would just be a +/- adjustment depending on which tile you clicked on?

Could you perhaps make several different maps, for the different continents? Also keeping the world map, of course.

from what i can tell that just makes all the coord's messed up. same with cutting up.

Im sure there is a way, i just dont have the skillsets to do it

Just go to the post that everyone posted the coordinates, and head to http://www.maporama.com/ and look up the coordinates.

I can zoom in by street & city name, but is there an option for zooming in by coordinates?
