Shack E3 Impressions

Finished my second E3 impressions article, offering thoughts on Brothers in Arms, Pariah, The Shield, Death By Degrees, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, Burnout 3 and Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict. If you missed the first set of impressions you can find those here.

But Brothers in Arms is also far more tactical than most other WW2 shooters. Since you're a squad leader, you can actually command your squad. I know, crazy huh. Basically you can order your team to move to a certain position, flank German troops, and whatnot. Run and gun this game is not. Another cool element is Situation Awareness. U.S. troops didn't go everywhere not knowing their environment, so thanks to reconnaissance pictures you know where buildings, walls, etc are located around you. So once you engage in a firefight, you can pause the game and get an overview of your surroundings which allows you to find a better way to defeat enemy troops ...
