Trunks officially revealed for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

The half-Saiyan is slicing his way into the game with a playable role.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is the latest entry in the Dragon Ball Z game series, and it's just introduced an additional character to its roster: Trunks.

The son of Vegeta and Bulma is going to be appearing in the RPG, and while there aren't many details about what role he'll play in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot just yet, it's great news to hear that the half-Saiyan will be a playable character.

"His inclusion in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will surely deliver the action and drama that seems to follow him wherever he goes, and in whatever timeline he’s in," notes the official press release via Bandai Namco. Trunks is well-known for traveling through different timelines, initially in a bid to prevent Goku from getting a crippling heart disease that keeps him out of the fight when the malevolent Androids came calling.

We still don't know everything we'd like to know about the game just yet, but here's what the official Xbox store page has this to say about Dragon Ball Z Kakarot:

The game is currently slated for an early 2020 release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
