Ark: Extinction Expansion Release Date Announced for Ark: Survival Evolved

Bizarre creatures and apocalyptic creatures abound.

Ark: Survival Evolved is welcoming its latest DLC pack in the form of Ark: Extinction, which is going to change things up in the game significantly. First off, it's going to find players exploring a ravaged Earth with enormous titans and other strange creatures. That's already a big change from what it previously featured -- a bunch of dinosaurs. Things just got a little creepier in the world of Ark, and developer Studio Wildcard has an interesting bit of content on the horizon here with Extinction.

The new trailer gives us a neak peek at what to expect when the expansion touches down later this year, showing off new dinosaurs, and even a new synthetic creature that can climb up walls. There are also new monsters known as "Gasbags" as well as enormous titans as I mentioned before. Just look at them -- they'll be waiting for you at the end of dungeons, and you'll have to fight them afterward. It's going to be pretty crazy, that's for sure.

Drones and other items are also coming to the game, as well as a cryochamber that allows you to freeze creatures and take them along with you elsewhere. The ice that keeps them preserved, however, can melt as you take them around the landscape with you.

Ark: Extinction is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 6, 2018, so you've got plenty of time to check out the original game before jumping into the expansion pack. Just don't be too scared off by all the weird and awesome new additions with Extinction, because it's looking pretty legit.
