E3 2017: NBA Live 18 Confirms NBA Live Still Exists

Hey, there’s a new NBA Live game coming! You can’t always say that and mean it.

EA took to the court during its EA Play conference to offer a world-exclusive first look at NBA Live 18, the newest installment in its on-again-off-again basketball franchise.

EA pledged a commitment to nailing the fundamentals of basketball, but it’s also looking to bring new ideas to the table. Like FIFA 18 and Madden 18, NBA Live 18 features an RPG-like campaign titled The One. You’ll create and personalize an avatar and allocate points to various attributes as you progress through the mode and advance in skill. The One will be playable solo or with a friend in co-op.

In an effort to include a variety of play styles, NBA Live 18 will feature standard NBA-style games as well as five-on-five street games which, presumably, will stir an arcadey sort of feel into the mix.

You’ll be able to get your hands on NBA Live 18 when a demo becomes available in August.
