So, how yer SC2? Post your current Win/Loss count, race of choice, and current league!
52 wins / 64 losses. Protoss. Bronze division, rank 53. But flucuates quite a bit... between 50-80.
Other thoughts: I've definately seen improvement in my playing. I know what to look for in an opponent's build order to a certain degree, what match ups and what maps I need to build a wall off early. What maps are more likely for a proxy pylon cheese build. What basic units counter other basic units.
My real weakness is using all my resources. I often am sitting on like 700 minerals and gas during fights, when I need to be macroing up too. Also... recon. Oh my god, recon is like the most important thing in this game. If you don't know what your opponent has, or where their army is, or what tech they have... you are so screwed.

My experience with copper, bronze and silver league play generally boils down to who countered who. Since my opponents never scouted me -- at all -- I'm guessing a lot of it is done in the dark, too. Nothing ever seemed to last past the initial push/attach.
The gold matches I've played made it past the initial push, but were ultimately decided by production. People expanded without ever ramping up their production, meaning they were floating 4k minerals and 2k gas while dropping another expansion while only having ~6 production buildings. I'm sure there's a lot of variation, but this was the most common mistake I saw.
In any case, concepts like "map control" and "containment" didn't really matter because people weren't building up enough stuff for it to actually make a difference.
