So, how yer SC2? Post your current Win/Loss count, race of choice, and current league!
52 wins / 64 losses. Protoss. Bronze division, rank 53. But flucuates quite a bit... between 50-80.
Other thoughts: I've definately seen improvement in my playing. I know what to look for in an opponent's build order to a certain degree, what match ups and what maps I need to build a wall off early. What maps are more likely for a proxy pylon cheese build. What basic units counter other basic units.
My real weakness is using all my resources. I often am sitting on like 700 minerals and gas during fights, when I need to be macroing up too. Also... recon. Oh my god, recon is like the most important thing in this game. If you don't know what your opponent has, or where their army is, or what tech they have... you are so screwed.

I mean, I struggle with multitasking, and after watching so many SC2 videos, I'm overwhelmed with the list of shit to do, and instead of improving skill on 1 or 2 basic tasks, I just fail on all of them and don't really know where to focus.
Right now my games are stupid:
- If I end up losing, it's like I'm 5 minutes behind my opponent. (e.g. I have decent unit composition, but 1/2 the army "power"/size equivalent... My self-eval says: Macro failure!)
- If I win, its because of some glaring hole (e.g. they dump 90% of resources into ~15 void rays, i kill them all with ~20 hydralisks and destroy entire base with 10 roaches because they have no detectors.)
This results in:
- Playing TOO Defensive because I "know I'm probably behind" so I let units sit around and maybe miss timing windows that I'm unaware of.
- Getting mired between trying to improve macro while realizing it doesn't matter how many units I produce if I'm producing the wrong ones, so I try to scout/info gather, but am slow in doing so and fall behind on macro.
Honestly I just need to play more games, but I'd love for some advice on 1-2 things to really focus on improving while I gain general experience. Mineral line saturation? Tech timing in first 5 minutes of gameplay? Combat/harass within first 5 minutes? Multitasking tricks?
The last game I won was hilariously bad... poor guy was still only producing M&M(no medivacs) and it took me about 10 minutes in to realize he was worse at macro than me. Once I actually scouted his unit composition (or lack thereof), I decided to have fun and make 15 ultralisks. I had zero AA, but by the time he had produced a handful of banshees it was too late and my ultralisk army.
Pretty much the only games I've won are due to severe incompetency of my opponent, not because I actually pulled off anything vaguely clever or skilled.
