So, how yer SC2? Post your current Win/Loss count, race of choice, and current league!
52 wins / 64 losses. Protoss. Bronze division, rank 53. But flucuates quite a bit... between 50-80.
Other thoughts: I've definately seen improvement in my playing. I know what to look for in an opponent's build order to a certain degree, what match ups and what maps I need to build a wall off early. What maps are more likely for a proxy pylon cheese build. What basic units counter other basic units.
My real weakness is using all my resources. I often am sitting on like 700 minerals and gas during fights, when I need to be macroing up too. Also... recon. Oh my god, recon is like the most important thing in this game. If you don't know what your opponent has, or where their army is, or what tech they have... you are so screwed.

I'm thinking you have a couple options...
1) Pre-emptive strike - What I try for most often... if I see the Spire come up, I know I have to attack NOW.
2) Expansion Denial - Mutas are somewhat gas heavy. To mass them, they'll need an extra expansion.
3) Sentries - It costs Zerg player 100/100 for a mutalisk (I think). It costs you 50/100 for a Sentry. The Guardian Shield all but negates the bounce damage, and with an upgrade to shields from a Forge, I'm pretty sure it negates the bounce damage entirely.
4) Cannons - Cannons just recently got a buff of an extra 25 shields and 25 health. That's a nice buff, and helps vs Mutas.
5) High Templars - Psi-Storm fucks up Mutas really good... but it will take quite a few casts to kill any, because they are so fast.
That's all I can think of. Mutas work very well vs Protoss.
