That being said, the new ads are bullshit. Moreover, nuking threads about the ads is even worse. geedeck asked me to direct my questions to staff instead of "randomly" posting about it here. When did discussing Shack policy become random, let alone nukable? The whole point of my question earlier was to see if anyone else here felt the same way. I don't want some mod's response repeating what GameFly's offical line. I want to see what posters think. Maybe I'm overreacting but I was one of the people that scoffed at the notion that Steve's sale of the Shack would change anything here. Maybe I was wrong.

yes and no. It doesn't have to be but I've always hated the idea that the mods are above the law. Corruption breeds in darkness and all that. I think polite (which this isn't) discussion of moderation is important (at least that it's allowed).
If they're going to be the middle men then they get to deal with user frustration. Same as any customer service representative in the world.
The corporate answer really smells to me. Gamefly signed a contract they can't get out of that drastically alters one of their sites? If this was happening on Gamefly proper they'd find a way to fix it. Willing to wait and see though (wtf do I care anyway, I'm mercury and even if I wasn't I'd know how to fix it).
Not even going to bother. Nothing hostile in my post.
