The Chatty is a community full of some very talented people. One of our very own Shackers, Rampancy, and his development studio Marauder Interactive have pushed out their game House of the Dying Sun to Steam Early Access today. The game is an action-packed single player space shooter that supports Oculus Rift and HTC Vive for a more immersive VR experience. I captured some gameplay footage of the game running on the HTC Vive. Please take a look.

I didn't have to do anything to switch from room scale to seated experience. It just worked.

I have said for awhile that if you have the disposable income and want to experience high quality virtual reality that the Vive is a great purchase.

In most seated games you just sit down and play and it should work. Most games like elite have a key as well that will recalibrate your new position if it changes.

That's my SteamVR environment, what I see when I'm not in a game. In some games you see it during loading screens, especially Oculus games running in Revive. I can't remember if I saw that in HotDS, it might have just been in the capture window.
Also the environment is super fun to customize. There's already a ton of community content.

M/K works well. You actually can use a stick, you just have to set it up yourself. I prefer a controller, though.

I would think a flight stick would work just fine, may need some manual setup and configuration.
The mouse control almost emulates the feeling of stick as far as pitch and yaw go. You have a center dead zone you can configure the size of, and once you move the reticule outside of that, you start to turn in that direction. I'm still gonna try a gamepad for a while to see what the vibration / feedback is like.
