Penny Arcade Expo planning third city expansion
by Andrew Yoon, Aug 29, 2011 5:00pm PDTApparently, two expos are not enough to contain the geekdom of passionate gaming fans. Penny Arcade's Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik have confirmed plans to host a third Penny Arcade Expo, in addition to the current Seattle and Boston locations.
"Yeah, there's going to be a third PAX," Krahulik said.
"Believe it," Holkins added in the Joystiq interview.
Unfortunately, details beyond the confirmation are non-existent. However, the duo have previously expressed interest in holding a third convention in an international location, preferably a location that the creative team wants to visit.
Obviously, there are many eager gamers all around the world. A "PAX North" in Canada does seem to have a certain ring to it. Still, assuming the Penny Arcade duo want to vacation while running the show, we may more likely see a "PAX South" in the Bahamas. Wouldn't it be lovely seeing thousands of shirtless gamers galloping on the beach? No?
