Shacknews has been around for 22 years and one thing that is ingrained deep in our DNA is the spirit of competition. Our Chatty community has held countless gaming events over the years which we now call Shackbattles. Today, I am announcing the mother of all Shackbattles. The Shacknews World Championship will take place on the Wednesday and Thursday of E3 2018. 128 gamers will descend on the Shacknews Battle Arena at our E3 booth and fight for the title of Shacknews World Champion and a piece of that $50,000 prize pool.

Are you a bad enough gamer to do it for Shacknews?

This event will serve as the first-ever Shacknews esports event as well as the announcement of our brand new Shack Champions League. Shack Champions League events are limited to folks over the age of thirty, but the Shacknews World Championship will be open to gamers of all ages. Stay tuned for more information about upcoming Shack Champions League events.

Folks interested in signing up for the Shacknews World Championship need to stop by the Shacknews E3 Booth (#5434) in West Hall and sign up at our registration desk. We will be announcing the games in the coming days so our competitors can prepare to do it for Shacknews on a level never seen before. This esports tournament is only open to people who will be in attendance at E3 2018.

Third place in the tournament will receive $5,000, second place will receive $15,000, and our Shacknews World Champion will walk out of E3 2018 with $30,000. Are you a bad enough gamer to do it for Shacknews? Stop by our booth in West Hall on Tuesday June 12, 2018 to sign up.
