XCOM: Enemy Unknown trailer shows casualties of war

The scene on the ground is pandemonium. People are dying out there, and the enemy is still unknown. The new trailer for XCOM from Firaxis shows off the need to train good soldiers to keep your team's casualties to a minimum.

How exactly can one sell a turn-based tactical game to the E3 audience, who clap and roar because they recognise a character in a video game? The approach taken by XCOM: Enemy Unknown is pretending you're something else entirely with a very flashy E3 trailer.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown is an incredibly tense, gripping strategy game, where every decision feels like it matters. In other words, it's wonderful.

XCOM delayed into 'fiscal 2014'

What ever happened to the XCOM FPS reboot by 2K Marin? Apparently, it is now scheduled to launch in fiscal 2014, which begins on April 1, 2013.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown coming October 9, PC special edition announced

XCOM: Enemy Unknown will be available on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 on October 9th. In addition, 2K Games is offering a special edition of Enemy Unknown to PC gamers.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown PC packs mod support, unique UI

The PC edition of XCOM: Enemy Unknown will have its own "unique" UI rather than the controller button-y interface shown so far, and Firaxis plans to support mods too.
