Today at Microsoft's Xbox One presentation, Phil Spencer presented the next game from Remedy. Titled Quantum Break, Spencer said it centers around the choices you make impacting the game world. A short trailer showed a live-action scene of a little girl talking to an adult woman. The little girl touched the woman to show what makes her "special," and the scene shifted to in-game footage of a tanker crashing through a bridge. After some brief clips, the slogan was: "time is the fire in which we burn."

Gentle reader, be warmed by the happy ending to the oft-sad story of Alan Wake's PC edition. It once seemed there'd be no PC release at all, but developer Remedy took matters into its own hands. Since then, the team has revealed that it had more than earned back the money it spent making the jazzed-up port within only 48 hours on sale.
Now Remedy has planned a series of PC patches, bringing fixes and changes including a free camera mode, for those who want to really explore Bright Falls.

Last Wednesday we added 2001's Max Payne to our growing list of video game classics, presented by MobyGames.com.
Max Payne delighted and surprised many gamers and critics alike when it was released back in 2001 for the PC with its blend of solid 3rd-person shooting and gritty noir-style presentation. The introduction of Bullet Time--which allowed players to slow time to a crawl while dodging and returning enemy fire--was brand new, and quite a huge deal at the time. Comic book-style cut-scenes and some appropriately melodramatic voice-over narration blended with the revenge-themed story to create an experience brimming with as much style as gunplay.
