PlayStation gamers give over $1 million for Japan relief

Back in March, Sony asked gamers to contribute some money from their PlayStation Network wallets to help the ongoing relief efforts in Japan. Today, Sony has revealed that gamers have contributed more than 129.7 million yen to relief efforts--about $1.6 m

NGP adds upscaling to PSP games

Sony's upcoming NGP handheld will be fully backwards compatible with downloadable PSP games. And it will offer upscaling, to boot.

Chrono Trigger rated by the ESRB for PS3, PSP

Chrono Trigger, the SNES classic and arguably one of the best games ever made, has been rated for the PS3 and PSP by the ESRB. Details are scant; however, safe money is on the game arriving on the PSN as a PSone Classic.

Sony officially discontinues PSP Go in Japan, Europe

Sony has now confirmed earlier reports that it is ceasing production of the PSP Go, instead focusing its manufacturing attention on the NGP and continuing to support the PSP-3000 model.

Report: Sony halts production on PSP Go

Sony may have discontinued production of the PSP Go, according to a Sony Store worker in Japan. The system is partially out of stock in two regions, and Sony declined to comment on the discontinuation.
