Yep, no point in buying something you can get on the PS3/360 when you have to uses a cutting board with no analog sticks for a controller .

It has analog sticks now, but point taken.

Didn't realize that. I just looked at them and they look a little odd at the top of the controller like that. How are you supposed to use them and press buttons? Are there buttons on the backside of the controller?

Have you seriously not seen any pictures of the controller before making such comments?

It's meant to be held from the top (for the most part anyways), there are shoulder buttons up there.

I was asking questions. My original statement still counts as I would rather hold a traditional controller to play something like Assassins Creed than something the size of a cutting board. Plus you have better access to buttons. Sorry I don't salivate over new nintendo hardware and I'm just getting caught up now.

My passing understanding of this system is that there are a few other controller options besides the tablet and the Wii stuff, one of which is a controller that looks like the 360 controller.

Part of the reason that I said Haku won the "Making posts about something he knows nothing about but attempts to bash it anyway" award. That and the "Has no analog sticks" and "How are ou supposed to use them and press buttons?"

Clearly him blindly bashing something he has no idea about at all.

I'm not bashing it, just saying that games that aren't exclusive are made for a more standard controller so that's the way I'd play those games. First party games and exclusives would be a different story. Also, the first pics I saw of a Wii U controller didn't have analog sticks as far as I recall.

I never 'bashed' anything. I didn't know about the more standard controller type but from what I know it's not included with the standard package so why buy something just so I can play games on it that already play fine with current consoles?

Oh, I am sorry. I didn't realize calling it a "cutting board" was a compliment and not an insult. I am ever so sorry. I will never unfairly accuse you of bashing ever again!

At least 35 of those games are ports, some of the others might come out to other consoles, but are too small to bother checking up on, and the rest are nintendo games.

There would be no Xbox 360 if the original didn't have Halo, that's been said many times before. Just too bad Nintendo doesn't have a killer new IP to launch with the Wii U (or even a full fledged Metroid game).

I am very excited for Bayonetta 2's announcement and while it's not launch, it is a coup for core gamers on the WiiU. I hope it gets ported to the 360/PS3 down the road. I really, really want to play that sequel. I wonder if the WiiU's 2012 includes DMC and Remember Me from Capcom.
