Street Fighter X Tekken getting large Vita roster update
by Steve Watts, Feb 21, 2012 11:30am PSTThe PlayStation Vita version of Street Fighter X Tekken is coming a bit later than the others, but it will sport a sizable expanded roster. The game will include twelve new characters when it hits in the fall. The console versions of the game are due March 6.
The expanded line-up includes six new characters from each series. The Street Fighter characters include Elena, Guy, Cody, Sakura, Dudley, and Blanka. The Tekken half will bring Alisa, Christie, Jack, Bryan, Lars, and Lei. Capcom doesn't specifically promise these characters will come to the console versions, but it calls the Vita their "debut." Adding them to the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 versions as downloadable content would make sense.
These new additions join the full line-up of 38 characters. The PlayStation platforms, including the Vita version, are also getting five exclusive characters: Toro, Kuro, Cole MacGrath, Pac-Man and Mega Man. All tabulated, this brings the Vita roster up to 55 playable characters, so lack of choice clearly won't be a problem.
